Shasti Lowton is an innovative curator and art consultant who uses exhibitions as a tool to promote social change. Her research specialisms in African and conflict art have led her to work with award winning contemporary artists such as National Portrait Gallery prize winner Jonathan Torgovnik and Venice Biennale veteran Alfredo Jaar. Shortlisted as a finalist for Stylist Magazine's and Nivea's 'Bring it on 30' campaign, an award to recognise women under 30 who were making waves in their chosen industry, Shasti's previous projects have included collaborations with the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum, The National Trust and Culture24. Shasti's refined knowledge and skills, in regards to building and caring for collections is sought after by private and public collectors including the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum where she provides consultation services for their Visual Arts Steering Committee.
